Principal Business Architect
Mastercard's HR Unified Technologies is looking for a talented and motivated Business Architect with experience developing HR systems strategy based on best practices and industry leading technology trends. The Principle HR Business Architect will drive and influence decisions on the Workday HCM system, in addition to other HR platforms and services, while ensuring alignment to strategic HR business goals and objectives. Additionally, the HR Business Architect will liaise with business and technology teams, eliciting and translating customer needs into system-specific objectives, developing roadmaps, defining project requirements, and leading the establishment and improvement of processes, standards, guidelines, and design patterns.
-Collaborate with stakeholders across the HR organization to define business requirements inclusive of process, capabilities, infrastructure, security, implementation, and operational considerations with a primary focus on design, deployment, and maintenance of the Workday HCM system.
-Provide leadership for Workday and other HR system related projects, including releases/upgrades, enhancement packages, and process redesign.
-Facilitate Workday process and configuration evaluation and review with administrators to ensure consistency, efficient use of each Workday module, and innovative use of technology.
-Develop HR's business architecture framework, mapping current and future business and operational needs to best in class technology infrastructure.
-Provide third party relationship management and issue resolution to optimize contract value.
-Leverage in-depth knowledge of technology trends and how developments in those areas may affect the trajectory/growth of future HR capabilities and services.
-Design and conduct proof of concept work to demonstrate the value of new or emerging technologies.
-Serve as a strong consultative partner to HR functional leaders and business users to continuously improve service delivery
-Work effectively at all levels of the organization to influence and move toward consensus.
-Bridge gaps in knowledge to support HR Unified Technologies and other teams implementing system designs.
-Collaborate with stakeholders across all functions (HR, Finance, IT, Operations, etc.) to maintain and develop Workday processes and integrations resulting in a best in class HCM platform.
-Optimize Workday and other HR technology systems to meet workflow requirements creating opportunities for automation, reduction of manual processes, and simple processes that help drive accuracy and completeness, from small tweaks to complete reengineering.
-Create and maintain the HR Enterprise Service Framework along with roadmaps capturing timing of HR system upgrades and maintenance for production deployment.
-Define and document HR Workday and other HR system processes, identify and describe roles and systems, and describe which people, resources and controls are involved in the processes.
-Define and manage the governance of and exceptions to global standard processes, implementing HCM policies and procedures where applicable.
-Develop and deliver strong project and system requirements and design through collaboration with HR Centers of Excellence, other business partners, and delivery team leads.
-Advise HR teams, including subject matter experts and leadership, on strategic and ad hoc HR technology requests.
-Stay abreast of new functionality becoming available in Workday, and drive the deployment of feature releases
-Search for information on leading-edge thinking and partner with industry experts, external thought leaders, and internal stakeholders to develop innovative solutions for HR Unified Technologies.
-Independently create and demo prototype designs for projects or systems.
-Partner with the Sourcing team, Finance, and HR business teams during contract negotiation to ensure best possible outcome related to payment terms, discounts, timelines, etc.
-Provide leadership to the HR Unified Technologies organization through mentoring, training, documenting, etc.
All About You:
-Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field
-Workday HCM expertise supporting technical solutions and business processes
-Workday HCM configuration and integration experience
-Workday technical skills (Web Services API, EIB, Studio)
-Experience with HRIS performing roll-outs & updates
-Business process modeling using a variety of tools and techniques
-SDLC and agile software development methodology
-Experience with Business Architecture practice and framework, i.e., Business Architecture Body of Knowledge (BizBok)
-Ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization, including written and verbal communications and visualizations
-Proven strong negotiating and consensus building abilities
-Experience mentoring and training teams
-Experience working within a Product Management framework/discipline is a plus
-Workday certification is a plus
