Role Value Proposition:
The Third-Party Administrator (TPA) Performance Analyst will assist in the execution of governance and oversight controls to monitor the delivery of critical functions provided by third-party administrators. The role has a primary function in receiving and analyzing performance data (e.g., Service Level Agreement (SLA) attainment) provided by the TPA and verifying the accuracy and completeness of that data against transaction-level detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform review of TPAs' independent reports (e.g., SSAE18 and user entity controls) to assess TPAs' internal control environment and identify exceptions or other discrepancies
  • Execute SLA Dashboard on a monthly basis to monitor Service Level Agreement (SLA) results and identify any areas in which contractual service levels are not attained or are otherwise trending negatively
  • Execute Trend Analytics Dashboard on a monthly basis to monitor transaction volumes of key operational metrics
  • Analyze transactional data on a daily basis to validate the SLA results reported by the TPA
  • Coordinate TPA and BHF operations audits, and provide guidance on process documentation

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
  • Experience with risk and compliance management, SOX financial controls, and executing internal controls in a third-party service provider model
  • Strong background in trend and data analytics, ability to interpret data and provide meaningful analysis and recommendations
  • Proficient understanding of operations process workflows
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and requests
  • Ability to build effective relationships and work with business partners at all levels
  • Undergraduate degree
