Job Summary:

The main purpose of this role is to assist in the successful build out of a base level of client reporting, and to contribute to the ongoing success of the Client Reporting function. This role will require strong technical knowledge across asset classes, significant attention to detail, as well as the ability to project manage and think strategically. It will also require effective liaison with business partners across Barings, to leverage expertise and problem solve. Additionally, depending on experience, the role may require effective management and leadership of Client Service Associates within the Client Reporting Group.

Primary Responsibilities:

Client Reporting

  • Take a lead role in the development of a base level of client reporting, including:
  • Standardize, streamline and enhance the reporting suite for pooled fund clients across all asset classes
  • Define and align data points included in reports, both across and within asset classes
  • Analyze bespoke reporting deliverables to identify efficiencies by aligning with standard reporting content
  • Identify remedial actions on current bespoke client reporting deliverables
  • Work with internal business partners to implement content and format changes and to agree automation prioritization
  • Resolve data issues post-automation
  • Understand and plan for evolution of ESG reporting requirements from regulatory and client expectation perspective, working with ESG business partners across the firm to implement
  • Review alignment of reporting deadlines against data availability to improve client experience
  • Leverage reporting templates to build out of standard suite of reports for SMAs
  • Additionally, the role will require strong partnership and communication with the Client Service Managers/ Associates to support the quality and timeliness of reporting sent out to clients and to resolve any issues

Team Management Dependent on experience

  • Management of client reporting associates responsible for manual reporting deliverables, future involvement in management of those responsible for review of automated reporting deliverables
  • Oversee schedule of manual client reporting deliverables, ensuring all regular and ad hoc deadlines met

Strategic Projects

  • Support key projects arising from the Client Reporting Group
