The Corporate Strategy Sr. Consultant will report to the Head of Corporate Strategy, working with members of the Corporate Strategy Group to drive processes and conduct analyses that further the Company's strategic plans and improve performance. This individual will engage with the team and partners across the enterprise to support strategic planning, develop Board material, curate competitive intelligence content, and contribute to deep dives or special projects and initiatives.
Job Family: Provides guidance, counsel, and support to executive management on the Company's competitive position, long-term strategy and shorter-term tactics to improve performance. While the scope of activities is typically at the enterprise or segment level, support is also provided for lines of business and functions and includes ongoing support or shorter term consulting engagements resulting in the development of strategic recommendations. May perform evaluations or execution of Mergers and Acquisition. Influences business investments consistent with the Company's Corporate Strategy. Work product is often shared with the Board of Directors, regulators, and other important stakeholders.
Job Level: Senior professional role that applies in-depth knowledge within own professional discipline, along with broad-based familiarity with the concepts and principles of other professional disciplines and businesses. Proactively applies knowledge of best practices derived from experience to solve a range of complex technical and operational problems. Takes a new perspective on existing solutions to solve complex problems. Exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. Leads small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements; plays significant roles in larger, more complex initiatives. Impacts a range of client, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams. Explains and interprets complex, difficult, or sensitive information. Acts as a resource for teammates with less experience. Works independently and receives minimal guidance. Qualifications
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. In-depth knowledge of principles, practices, theories, and/or methodologies associated with the business analysis and strategy disciplines. Understands foundational concepts of other related professional disciplines. Ability to build consensus through communication and presentation of factual and relevent information. Ability to think independently and to interpret financial and non-financial information to identify opportunties to improve the business. Ability to work well with others in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. Experience managing projects or project workstreams. Knowledge of the industry's competitive landscape and the factors that differentiate the Company and its competitors in the market. Ability to interpret and explain complex information to a range of audiences and build consensus among different stakeholders. Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates.
Preferred Requirements: Master's degree or MBA and 6 years of related experience. Previous experience in the banking industry.
