Job Summary

This position will serve as the coordination between Finance and the Global Technology & Operations (GTO) teams at Barings for all Financial, Planning, and Analytical work. The focus on this role will be on developing, maintaining, and integrating analytical methods and models that forecast operating and technical costs at an aggregate, unit, and project level. In addition, functions will include analyzing the effect of changing economic conditions on the business and new business opportunities, as well as changes to strategies or operating plans. As needed, lead deep dive analyses into specific revenue or expense items to assist leadership in the decision-making process.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Partner with GTO, as well as other key functions and stakeholders across the firm to plan, analyze, and forecast financial and other key business success metrics
  • Analyze and make needed adjustments to intercompany cost allocations in accordance with company-wide strategic direction
  • Provide analytical support on a wide range of projects and cross-functional initiatives
  • Identify, analyze and report on key performance drivers and metrics
  • Act as a strategic advisor to the GTO business units
  • Proactively search out ways to improve and streamline processes

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years' experience in a corporate FP&A role
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Excellent analytical, communication (oral and written) and presentation skills, great at knowledge transfer and early stage career development
  • Ability to work across all functions and levels of an organization
  • Strong motivation, sense of urgency, high-level of energy and problem-solving skills
  • Takes ownership and responsibility for tasks and sees them through
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, with emphasis on Excel
  • Experience with Workday and Adaptive a plus
