Nuveen, the investment manager of TIAA, offers a comprehensive range of outcome-focused investment solutions designed to secure the long-term financial goals of institutional and individual investors. This position will be responsible for coordinating key initiatives across the Nuveen Finance organization. This role will be responsible for executing and owning change management, implementation and adoption of new processes, technology or strategies for the Nuveen Finance team. The role will also require strong day-to-day leadership presence to foster collaboration across teams: FP&A, Controllership, Business, CFOs, etc. This is a high visibility role, reporting directly to the Nuveen CFO.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Create the strategic three to five-year plan for Nuveen Finance and implement
new processes and approaches to achieve it. Foster priority-setting
discussions across the department and tracking of progress.
Determine appropriate metrics to performance goals across the team and
create the infrastructure to measure progress throughout the year.
Instill a continuous improvement and execution excellence mindset to align
with TIAA values
Ability to create structure and processes where none have existed in an
ambiguous, rapidly growing and changing team environment
Represent the Nuveen Finance in multiple forums (OCFO Strategy, Integrated
Planning team, productivity committees, business strategic meetings, risk
Oversee the development of curriculum, tools, and training that are very
relevant to CFOs and staff
Advocate for Nuveen requirements for data and applications as the Nuveen
Finance Technology Liaison
3 plus years of finance experience
Experience with MS Office products particularly Excel and Power Point
BA/BS degree in Finance or related field
Experience in Financial Services related setting
Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
Demonstrated experience in project management processes and
Flexible, detail oriented and driven.
