Job Description:

Position Summary
This Java Developer role is an integral part of the Payments Technology team within the Investment & Banking Solutions Technology organization. The individual will be part of team to develop our next generation of Payments and Transfers services.

Key responsibilities
Develops, enhances, debugs, supports, maintains and tests software applications that support business units or supporting functions. Will actively work on and support application development and maintenance activities. Will participate in team discussions to understand and provide inputs to system requirements. Will drive application design activities, and develop software to meet specifications. Will work with QA and performance testing teams to ensure software meets tollgate requirements. Will work with support teams to deploy software and also resolve defects.

Required Skills/Experience:
• 2 or more years of experience with Java, Spring, Oracle
• Working experience in Spring, Hibernate
• Excellent problem solving skills, willingness to take ownership and risks, and enthusiasm in the face of technical challenges

Preferred Skills:

  • MQ, Websphere, NO SQL, Mulesoft
  • Experience with JBoss/Tomcat/Websphere application servers
  • Financial services industry experience


Enterprise role description
Develops, enhances, debugs, supports, maintains and tests software applications that support business units or supporting functions. These application program solutions may involve diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools. Participates in the design, development and implementation of complex applications, often using new technologies. May provide technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives. Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource. Will not have direct reports but may lead projects and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations. May have responsibility for a project and project budget. May collaborate with external programmers to coordinate delivery of software application. Routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities. Works under minimal supervision, with general guidance from more seasoned consultants. Typically requires 5-7 years of experience.
