The Expertise We're Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years of Business Analysis experience in financial services, HR, payroll, benefits, systems development, product development, and/or project/product management
  • Expertise in various project management methodologies, including Agile
  • Payroll, Human Resources and Benefits experience is desired
  • CBAP Certification preferred
  • Previous Fidelity experience helpful

The Purpose of Your Role

As part of the Fidelity Benefits Marketplace Product Strategy & Marketing organization, the senior business analyst is responsible for discretionary IT projects, of varying size and scope. He or she examines business systems and processes to identify user needs, document requirements, and address operational issues or process improvement needs to accomplish business objectives. The successful candidate will be capable of executing in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.

  • Your ability to translate business requirements to technical resources in support of helping develop business solutions that reduce risk, maximize business efficiency, and minimize impact
  • Your ability to work with product owners to create, prioritize and maintain product backlog in order to focus the team on delivering business solutions with highest customer experience impact
  • Your understanding of core product mechanics, record keeping systems, and regulatory environment
  • Your critical thinking skills with good judgment and initiative; ability to think across functions and product categories
  • Your ability to analyze complex project/product issues
  • Your ability to function at a high level in a dynamic and challenging work environment
  • Your strong organizational skills to define and meet deadlines within highly matrixed organization
  • Your collaboration, negotiating/influencing skills, strong presentation/facilitation skills
  • Your experience with product experience a plus
  • Your understanding of the Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) Methodology including Agile
  • Your proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Creating, updating and maintaining related documentation and train end users
