RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Jersey City, NJ. Software Engineer responsible for the end-to-end systems development cycle from requirements analysis, coding, testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and maintenance of the Investment Banking's Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) suite of applications using Agile methodology. Work on multiple development projects concurrently using JAVA, REST, Elastic, DB2, and MongoDB databases with Angular JS enabled front end in a global team environment. Develop technical specifications, high level/detailed design, and test and implementation plans from business requirements. Engage in test-driven development testing frameworks such as Junit or Groovy/Spock. Perform analysis, data modeling, and design of solutions for strategic data sourcing projects for FCC applications specializing in Investment Banking domains, such as Trades, Wires, and Journals, and reference data like Account, Entity, and Products. Manage internal and external FCC audits as a Technology Representative, working closely with FCC stakeholders and understanding audit/regulatory requirements for data pull. Read/store complex client onboarding data along with transaction profile for risk ranking and single customer view applications for end users to query it in real time. Analyze processes/workflows of cross-area projects and help to identify and automate manual processes to gain efficiency through migration of legacy applications to strategic platforms. Analyze complex problems, systems, data and metrics to lead design reviews of existing and new application systems. Must be willing to work with proprietary technologies. No knowledge of proprietary technologies is required pre-hire.
Job Requirements: Master's or Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science & Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field. Three (3) years of experience with a Master's degree or five (5) of experience with a Bachelor's degree in the job offered or related software application development role. Prior work experience must include three (3) years of experience with a Master's degree or five (5) of experience with a Bachelor's degree with: Object-Oriented Application Development in Java and design patterns (such as Adapter, Façade or similar) using Agile methodology; performing data and system analysis for uplifts and enhancements; and working with a global software development team and communicating status and design across multiple regions.Prior experience must also include two (2) years of experience with: writing complex SQL queries; building Service and Micro-Services based architecture using REST; developing software applications that support the financial services industry; writing, modifying, and tuning SQL and Stored procedures using the IB DB2 database; working with Non-SQL Persistence stores such as Elastic, MongoDB, or similar; performing data modeling of Investment Banking domains such as Trades, Wires, Journals or similar; performing data modeling of reference data such as Account, Entity, and Products, or similar; developing software solutions within the Anti-Money Laundering industry with a focus on Know Your Client, Client Risk Rating, Single Client View, Client Review Dashboard and Anti Bribery; using AngularJS for UI development; and working with Testing frameworks including Junit and Groovy/Spock.
