The Contracts Administrator leads discussions with external asset manager partners on contract execution, pricing and programs. A significant portion of this role involves helping our partners navigate Pershing and identify opportunities. The Contracts Administrator is an integral part of the manager relationship team and works with individuals from BNY to ensure asset managers understand Lockwood/Pershing and how to operate efficiently on the platform.

The ideal candidate has an in-depth understanding of the managed account industry including SMAs, UMAs and Model Delivery, understands legal contracts and is able to manage multiple competing priorities.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • Independently and routinely works with large, complex asset managers to provide our clients with access to the asset managers' strategies.
  • Helps asset managers resolve critical and complex day-to-day issues help them navigate BNY Mellon.
  • Works closely with the legal/compliance teams to respond to inquiries and contract negotiations.
  • Maintains excel spreadsheets for tracking asset manager onboarding for multiple BNY clients.
  • Uses excellent communication skills to provide updates to multiple internal groups, asset managers and BNY clients.
  • May contribute to the development of strategic initiatives that are designed to improve the asset manager onboarding experience.
  • No direct reports. Provides guidance to less experienced team members.
  • May assign work to more junior team members.
  • Ensure that Client expectations are fully managed and either met or exceeded in relation to resolution of queries.
  • Develop own knowledge, to include the financial products used by our clients, operational procedures within the department and those of our internal stakeholders and current market developments.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience in business management or related field is required.
  • 10-12 years of total work experience in Managed Accounts preferred.
  • Excellent organizations skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
