Senior Sourcing Specialist - Facilities / Purchasing / Property Jersey City
The candidate for this role will primarily be managing the Human Resources category of spend. They will, on a project by project basis, be required to address other categories dependent on aptitude and capabilities.
Sourcing Management (Responsibility): Strategic Management of Category related spends (primarily Human Resources) by analyzing the spend, business needs, market and leveraging for the benefit of the internal partners and the bank. Manage various deals from a sourcing perspective. Employ the sourcing process - collect and assess requirements from business partners, evaluate the market (possibly by an RFx process), negotiate business and legal terms favorable to SG, execute agreement etc... Analyze SG Suppliers (Know Your Suppliers - KYS) Support and deliver on Sourcing Group Savings Objectives and other general goals and objectives of the Sourcing Organization. Enforce sourcing policy and procedure. Profile Required Competencies Must be aware of specific industry, legal and regulatory obligations as it relates to contractual provisions (i.e. new obligations surrounding data privacy, confidentiality, Third Party Risk Management etc...) Excellent negotiation skills Excellent oral and written communication skills (including presentation skills). Influential with regards to Internal Stakeholders and External Suppliers Must be a self-starter and able to operate independently in an aggressive environment. Capable of analyzing the commodity of spend for savings opportunities and/or service improvement, develop actionable plans, solicit necessary stakeholder support, execute the plan through sourcing/negotiation. Technical Skills Proficiency with basic Office Applications, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, etc... Experience with Procurement/Sourcing related applications Prior Work Experience Minimum of (5) years' experience as a complete sourcing professional with category management experience Experience sourcing other product/services other than Human Resource related (i.e. Consulting Services, IT products/services(software/hardware), market data, broker dealer, exchanges, legal, office products, OSPs, Real-Estate, etc....) Education Business degree or other related experience Language English Bi-lingual in French, a plus Business Insight

This role for a Senior Sourcing Specialist is responsible for evaluating business requirements, leveraging the market place for best available financial and service offerings, as well as negotiation and execution of contracts.
The position requires a skilled, experienced sourcing professional with general knowledge of the Financial Industry, with an emphasis on Human Resource related purchases (Training, Benefits, Recruitment, Temporary Staffing, Payroll) and other related services. Sound knowledge of contractual provisions and structure will be required, along with excellent negotiation and contract drafting skills. Additionally, the individual is required to have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
