Specialist, Data Governance
As a member of the business function the role is alignedwith, individuals in the role are ultimately accountable for the cleardefinition, health and proper usage of the functions owned data wherever itresides within the organization.
Responsible for on-boarding own group within the Bank to datagovernance principles, policies and processes, and setting and managing dataexpectations with employees at all levels. Reports to management on group'sadoption of principles, policies and processes.
Responsiblefor data quality requirements including selection and submission of authorizeddata sources, identification of critical data elements and data qualitybusiness rules in coordination with data owners. Establish and maintain LOBprocess and procedures for data quality. Responsible for tracking andremediation of all data quality issues and data incidents for Pershing LOBglobally. Monitors data qualityissues in alignment with policy and reviews data incidents with other datagovernance team members.
Accountable for the data quality contract process and the integrity of the datadelivered to users. Point of escalation for unresolved data incidents whichhave passed their SLA. Conduct data cleansing/remediation activities asrequired. No direct reports. Contributes to the achievement of team objectives. Qualifications
Bachelors degree in computer science, actuarial science, finance, economics, mathematics/statistics or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 3-5 years of total work experience preferred. Experience preferred in creating, editing, modifying, sharing and restricting access to data, monitoring and/or escalating data quality issues until resolution, attesting to data integrity as delivered to users, data tiering and data metering, remediating unresolved data incidents, defining the health and proper usage of owned data throughout the enterprise, serving in a data governance role in financial services.
