Network Service Management Engineer # 108236

We Offer
The Networking Technical Service Engineer will be responsible for day to day technical oversight of the regional network. The role will provide technical leadership across operational based activities, tasks, incidents and problem management. You will lead and guide our primary service providers through their service delivery lifecycle and obligations. In addition, you will be responsible for providing technology leadership in respect to continuous Service improvement, identifying opportunities, motivating change and standard methodologies across the environment.

Ability to operate autonomously while exercising good judgment in the assessment of technology priorities and business risks:
  • Provide technical leadership across the network function, across all partners and service providers
  • Provide a key contact point for business partners, other IT groups and projects
  • Define, research and document analysis and recommendations to all interested parties including management as well as discussing technical details with engineers
  • Work closely with other CS groups to promote activities of connectivity services team and ensure transparency of projects, issues and changes impacting end users
  • Work with BT to handle and communicate critical issues for incidents related to the service. And where required lead major incidents
  • Improve cross-team collaboration and knowledge development along with these technical partner teams (engineering, deployment, operations, etc.)
  • Work with product management, engineering and vendor management teams to onboard new products and represent operations as required to ensure acceptance into service is successfully delivered
  • Ensure BT enforce to compliance regulations, change management, incident management, & problem management policies
  • Manage all operational related internal client communication and escalations and will aggressively drive issues to resolution
  • Assess and provide CS Network Governance team approval for BAU operational changes and incidents
  • Provide oversight of the P&P BOW ensure clarity, resource and resources tracking for relevant, network maintenance and hygiene assignments

You Offer
Prior hands-on experience as a Network systems engineer or architect:
  • CCNP qualified Network professional with significant experience of working in a 3rd line infrastructure role along with an extraordinary analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving and problem management abilities
  • Proven track record of support and troubleshooting of core network enterprise infrastructure and devices around Cisco technologies as well as experience in working with MPLS wide area networks
  • Good written and verbal interpersonal skills coupled with strong social and consultative skills
  • A dedication to quality, operational service delivery and problem management
  • Ability to engage with different cultures and people at several levels in an organization
