The
Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Finance and Business Management
(F&BM) group provides financial advice to support the CIB’s business
strategy and helps to ensure a sound control environment. Within F&BM, the
four major areas of responsibility are: Business-aligned BMs (Business
Managers), the CIB Controller, Support Staff CFO, and Planning and Analysis.




Across the Markets & Investor Services segments of the Corporate
& Investment Bank (CIB), Americas and International Sales cover our $20bn+ client
franchise on a cross-product basis.



 

The Sales P&A & Control team supports the Sales
organizations.  The team comprises
onshore regionally-aligned teams with reporting production and controls largely
out of Mumbai, and a reporting infrastructure / projects and client reference
data team. 



 

Sales P&A & Control partners closely with Business Management,
Sales, Middle Office, Product Controllers and other P&A colleagues. The
P&A responsibilities involve providing value-added, timely and accurate
analytical support across Sales performance, client franchise analysis, headcount
and expenses.  The Control responsibilities
include improving the completeness and accuracy of client activity in our core
reporting data warehouses (XIB and WCP). 
The candidate will support Americas
Investor Services, and the Global IS Business Manager.



 

The specific
responsibilities will include:






  • Analysis and reporting
    of Allocated Franchise Revenue (AFR), headcount, expenses and Sales allocations
    to IS product businesses
  • Partner with our Mumbai
    reporting team to develop and deliver scheduled and ad-hoc reports, to ensure
    that output is correct and business-relevant
  • Support Business
    Managers submit current month AFR estimates, fine-tuning as needed, and
    monitoring correct mapping of key reference data
  • Improve the integrity of
    AFR, and work closely with our Mumbai reporting and control teams, Technology
    and others to resolve reporting and system issues
  • Provide ad-hoc support
    to Business Managers (Sales and Product) and other P&A colleagues for AFR
    or Sales-related queries
  • Support the annual
    budgeting process - Sales AFR, Headcount and Expenses
  • Support the sales
    pipeline process leveraging Scribe data e.g., new and incremental sales
    activities, client vulnerability, lost client revenue, and tracking against
    budget
  • Work with regional P&A
    counterparts to ensure consistent process and reporting
  • Continuously identify areas of
    improvement for increased productivity and efficiency
  • Participating and
    driving ad-hoc projects

Desirable Skills (not

  • Prior
    P&A, financial or management reporting experience
