CCO - Conduct Oversight Lead - Director

We are recruiting a senior level Director function for an investment banking client of ours in Manhattan, NY. Part of the function is an interpretive one; taking what the regulator has said/instructed and created guidelines on and advising key individuals and groups in the organisation and making people the pre-existing communications are in place vs. what gaps need filling. This is also linked to the banks conduct committee regarding how they assess conduct and culture.

We are recruiting a senior level Director function for an investment banking client of ours in Manhattan, NY. Part of the function is an interpretive one; taking what the regulator has said/instructed and created guidelines on and advising key individuals and groups in the organisation and making people the pre-existing communications are in place vs. what gaps need filling. This is also linked to the banks conduct committee regarding how they assess conduct and culture.

This is implementing a conduct risk framework and the thought leadership piece that goes with it. This will be to create a conduct plan, pull it together, oversee and execute.

You will have a team of 4 that puts the material together and deals with the interactions with the FCA on conduct risk points of view and how the bank will align with their guidelines. It would be worth mentioning that this is very much a hands on role where you will be actively doing the work rather than just being an oversight or steer individual.

This will include the creation of a conduct dash board as well as reporting to the internal BU control committee and risk committee regarding how they assess conduct and culture.

Part of this will also include synthesizing that into a narrative with regards to progress, report on quarterly assessments what does that look like for the organisation.

In short the main accountabilities are:

* Implementation of the Conduct Risk Framework across the bank
* Defining and overseeing execution of the Conduct Plan, in collaboration with business unit, functional and regional heads via their control officers.
* Lead the evolution and production of the Conduct Risk Dashboard.
* Lead the analysis and writing of the relevant section of the report, in partnership the controls office.
* Liaise with Compliance to understand requirements for the dashboard. Collaborate with functional and regional CCOs to adopt new requirements.
* As appropriate, liaise with Compliance on behalf of the wider community regarding changes and implementation timelines.
* Collaborate with the BU, functional and regional leaders and Compliance on the development and evolution of BU conduct MI
* Through consultation and collaboration with business unit (BU), functional, regional CCOs and Compliance, drive development and monitor execution of an annual Conduct plan that continues to embed the Conduct Risk Management Framework into business as usual.
* Liaise with the Compliance function on changes they are considering or have made to the Conduct Risk Management Framework.
* Facilitate communication of changes to the BU, functional and regional CCOs.
* As appropriate, liaise with Compliance on behalf of the wider CCO community regarding changes and implementation timelines. Collaborate with the BU, functional, and regional CCOs on building and overseeing plans to implement new requirements
