The Continuous Assurance (CA ) Project Manager supports the Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) Americas division to ensure that the business in the US operates in accordance with all legal and regulatory requirements and all Group standards relating to anti-money laundering and counter terrorism financing (AML), anti-bribery and corruption (ABC), and the Group Operational Risk Framework (ORF). The role is responsible for executing the Continuous Assurance program in order to meet the expectations of regulators and other compliance stakeholders.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Role & Responsibilities:
* Provide business planning coordination and project management support to the Head of Continuous Assurance ("CA")
* Attend relevant meetings and keep the Head of CA informed of salient developments
* Support the development, prioritization and implementation of the collective agendas for Continuous Assurance's portfolio in line with FCC strategies
* Evaluate current and anticipated resources in terms of people, systems and process changes required to have an effective CA function
* Review and edit papers for the Head of CA's sign off
* Develop and implement effective communication and stakeholder engagement plans both internally and externally
* Identify & drive initiatives to streamline activities & processes to deliver on the collective agenda & strategic priorities
* Support Continuous Assurance Governance initiatives as required, including, Exam Management, Metrics and Reporting, issue tracking, Committee Management, Policy updates and more.
* Support all aspects of the Global CA TOM implementation including coordination of hiring for Global teams, supporting the training and embedding of the CA Methodology across CA teams, and the identification/standardization of program best practices.
* Provide input on strategy, direction, focus and prioritization for FCC CA Function
* Stimulate an environment where forward planning, prioritization, deadline management and streamlined workflows and collaborative, inclusive yet effective and efficient work practices are the norm
* Act as a catalyst for team engagement, motivation and a spirit of openness of trust where every individual's opinion is important
* Support the Head of FCC CA in the execution of the functional strategy and agenda across each Region within the CA Target Operating Model.
* Proactively track the delivery of CA's agenda across each Region in the CA target operating model and identify gaps and actions required.
* Organize and support agenda setting for FCC CA meetings as required.
* Support the global implementation of the CA framework and standards.
* Lead process improvement initiatives in order to drive efficiency across Global CA teams.
* Support the regional response to FCC Group projects and initiatives.
* Lead engagement with other functional counterparts (Global Sourcing / Human Resources) on all external vendor appointments for various ongoing projects.
* Manage CA responses to external Regulatory Exams in collaboration with FCC Governance Exam Management.
* Develop, track and follow up on FCC related action plans and escalation reports.
* Produce high quality presentations for the Head FCC CA for use at management meetings and committees.
* As necessary, ensure CA executes a disciplined budget process and accurate forecasting for regional teams according to agreed functional standards,
* Coordinate and consider inputs from the each CA regional team in relation to investments and target setting decisions.
* Provide reports to the Head, FCC CA, and Global Head of Assurance regarding CA's budget and forecasts when requested.
* Ensure separation of all BAU costs v/s temporary and external vendor costs.
* Ensure each Regional team is adequately resourced and staffed by an appropriate number of competent staff sufficiently independent to perform duties objectively, to support sustainable business growth and address legal and compliance risks in the Region.
* Deploy Group capability and capacity planning tools for the department in the Region.
* People management in the areas of resourcing, talent development, performance management, learning and development and engagement, in accordance with frameworks and standards set by Group.
* Assist the Head, FCC CA in providing reports and other Management Information in agreed and standardised format to regional management (including business and governance stakeholders) and L&C stakeholders at the Group level.
* Develop and implement effective communication plans to support communication by Head, FCC CA to the network and businesses.
* Implement agreed functional communication standards and provide relevant communication tools to facilitate information and best practice sharing across Regional CA Teams.
* Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
* Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
* Lead FCC CA to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank's Conduct Principles.
* Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
* Support relevant stakeholders to respond to regulatory questions.
* Support the coordination and implementation of CA control processes, in accordance with Group standards and applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications and Skills

Skills & Qualifications:
* Knowledge of money laundering compliance requirements across various banking products
* Broad understanding of the financial services sector and financial products/services.
* Strong executive communication and writing skills.
* Excellent demonstrated organizational skills, including time management, record keeping, and self-scheduling.
* Strong relationship management skills.
* Knowledge of project management techniques.
* Proficient in Microsoft application such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
