Senior Java Developer, Payments (CONTRACT)
We are recruiting for a Senior Java Developer to work for our client which is an international consulting firm that specialises in technology across capital markets and banking.
We are recruiting for a Senior Java Developer to work for our client which is an international consulting firm that specialises in technology across capital markets and banking. This is an initial 3 month contract and it is foreseen as a long term engagement (1+ years.). The end client, where you will be working onsite, is an international Investment Bank here in Manhattan.
o Several years of profound experience in and intimate knowledge with software development base on Java (MicroServices, Spring, SpringBoot)
o Strong experience within established Software Development Lifecycles and methodologies
o Knowledge of Impala, Spark, Hive, Elastic Search, Flume, Hue, Kafka, Oozie, Pig, Sentry, Solr, Sqoop, or Zookeeper is a plus.
o Experience in working with agile teams/agile methodologies
o Fluent in English
o Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical knowledge
Nice to have:
Experience in Financial Institutions environment and Payment Areas is a plus
Roles and Responsibilities:
o Co-design of a large-scale project within a financial institution
o Conception and implementation of individual solutions
o Integration of individual systems, especially service-oriented architectures and web-based solutions
o Follow-up of new technologies and methods
o Support in the development of technical concepts
o Maintenance of existing systems and applications
The key is for the candidate to have strong technical aptitude in the required framework and the will and ability to deliver in a flexible environment. We are looking for people to be able to clearly articulate your role or project work that's linked to basic computer science fundamentals like transaction management, ACID properties and debugging skills.
