Three-year financial analyst program for TIAA Private Investments. Analysts will be part of a six week credit training program.


  • Work with senior analysts using quantitative and analytical tools to enhance security selection and portfolio management.
  • Contribute to reports and processes that allow for effective management and reporting of Private Markets portfolios.
  • Perform active surveillance of portfolio holdings in order to identify trends and make recommendations.
  • Research market conditions in existing and potential new alternative investment categories.
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis used in the underwriting of potential investment opportunities.
  • Assist senior investment staff in the analysis, documentation, and processing of new investment transactions.
  • Assist senior team members in the development of internal memoranda and other materials used to support investment recommendations.
  • Identify and communicate ways to improve underwriting and surveillance practices.
  • Rotational opportunities may include assignments on the Private Placements, Private Equity and High Yield, and the Infrastructure teams.
  • This analyst position is for a three year period of time with no guarantee that continued employment with TIAA will be offered at the conclusion of the three years.


*Strong problem solving skills with a solid knowledge of accounting and finance

*Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint
*Up to 2 years of financial industry experience
*May 2018 Bachelor's Degree candidate
