Job Description:

Enterprise Cost Management (ECoM) designs and delivers an integrated approach (process, tools & information) through an activity based economic modeling capability that enables the bank's LOBs and support groups to take ownership of the end-to-end cost management. ECoM provides the transparency to enable the optimization of operational efficiency and responsible revenue generation.

ECoM focuses its efforts and is a strategic partner with various areas of the bank. At the direction of leadership, ECoM has partnered with divisions of Retail, Global Commercial Banking, Global Corporate & Investment Banking, and Global Markets.
ECoM sits within the COO office of the CFO Group. The team of approximately 55 is largely based in Charlotte, NC.


  • Provide Business Level knowledge for costing, business process & business requirements
  • Provide business support on one or multiple Enterprise Cost Management (ECoM) projects
  • Support business level ABC-themed costing activities
  • Engagement of LOB and Finance SME's to gather data
  • Developing taxonomy development, activity capture & mapping
  • Documentation of cost drivers and accumulators for in scope LOB and Support groups

Enterprise Role Overview:
Responsible for directing the day-to-day finance activities for a business unit or associate area. Activities include strategic and annual planning and implementation, profitability analysis, forecasting and financial reporting. Manages partner relationships and associates. Considered a working manager. In addition to supervisory / administrative duties, individuals are actively involved in the execution of processes. Assists management in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.

Required Skills
  • Bachelor's degree, in accounting or finance
  • 2-5 years of professional/demonstrated work experience within financial services industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products, with emphasis on strong Excel (macros, pivot tables, look-ups, and filtering), PowerPoint, and Access skills
  • Superior ability to communicate concepts and ideas both verbally and in written form
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proven ability to communicate, partner and influence across a matrix organization
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, proactive, and ability to multitask
  • Desires a dynamic team environment and ability to work well in team environment
  • Able to manage and mentor financial professionals
  • Comfortable interacting with Senior Management and Finance teams throughout the organization
