Agricultural Marketing Associate The incumbent will be responsible for originating, managing, and collecting a portfolio of commodity finance and other trade products and services. The incumbent will also be in charge of eliciting the limit proposal, structuring the transaction (pricing, amortization), writing up credit analysis, and getting the limit approved. We are looking for someone who has Bachelor’s degree or above with major in Business Administration/Economics/Engineering or other related fields of study with strong communication and writing skills. 0-2 years of banking experience related to commodity or trade finance is preferred.

Job Description

The incumbent will be responsible for originating, managing, and collecting a portfolio of commodity finance and other trade products and services. The incumbent will be also in charge of eliciting the limit proposal, structuring the transaction (pricing, amortization), writing up credit analysis, and getting the limit approved.

 

Job Duties

Include but are not limited to:

 

  • Marketing and client relationship development(Developing customers)
    • Solicit commodity finance and risk participations from banks as well as solicit business deposits from targeted and/or existing clients
    • Meet prospective customers to perform due diligence and shape the business proposal to meet needs of both customers and the Bank
    • Promote commodity finance products and services

 

  • Client Relationships Management
    • Elicit a credit business proposal containing all appropriate supporting materials, including financial statements, tax returns, and information on receivables, inventory, and other related documents
    • Negotiate finance agreement to control risks in proposals
    • Draft Credit Recommendation Reports (CRRs) and present CRM

 

  • Market Research, Analysis and Reporting
    • Research and analyze commodity and freight markets to determine dominant market headwinds and impacts of developments in other asset classes
    • Research and submit proposals for new products to keep pace with developments by competitors and clients’ developing needs
    • Submit reports on daily market activities and submit analysis on market activities on a weekly basis

 

  • Other
    • Prepare presentation materials for training, marketing events and meetings
    • Review and analyze customers based on customers’ profiles, folders and transactions
    • Assist with other sections to fill out transactional worksheets and regarding BSA/AML & Compliance (e.g. research pricing & customers KYC info, etc.)

 

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above with major in Business Administration/Economics/Engineering or other related fields of study
  • 0-2 years of banking experience related to commodity or trade finance preferred
  • Strong communication and writing skills
