Associate Director, North America Chlor Alkali


  • Establishes and maintains a reputation for chlor-alkali market expertise.
  • Completes primary research and analysis for the North American caustic soda market and supports research for the chlorine and/or chlor-alkali derivatives markets. Research includes producer capacities, operating status, production costs, supply/demand balance, trade flows, pricing, general market dynamics, individual company analysis, and econometric modeling.
  • Builds and nourishes North American caustic soda industry contact relationships across producers, consumers, distributors, traders and the financial community. Leverages contacts to collect market information for regular reporting and insightful analysis and forecasting that benefits existing and potential clients.
  • Regularly provides neutral and objectively written Global Chlor-Alkali Market Advisory Service content including the monthly report, Focus Reports and the World Chlor-Alkali Analysis.
  • Develops and maintains an understanding of IHS Chemical supply/demand, econometric price forecast, and trade grid models. Maintains the North America production capacity database and supply-demand balances and price forecasts. Utilizes analytical approaches to enhance insight and deliver value to clients.
  • Develops market presentations. Pursues opportunities to present information in client meetings and at conferences. Actively markets the IHS Chemical services.
  • Contributes to global chlor-alkali team dynamics to ensure consistent global market coverage and analysis.
  • Identifies new business opportunities for sales and consulting follow-up. Provides Chlor-alkali market expertise for IHS Consulting projects and Sales client development.
