About our client Our client is a large international PE firm with growing offices in London and New York. The position is part of our client's portfolio management team, and the primary portfolio company of relevance to this position is a multinational semiconductor company.
What the job involves - Own workstreams in portfolio companies' transformations (examples include but not limited to pricing optimisation, salesforce effectiveness, IPO preparation and execution, company strategy, R&D portfolio optimisation, workforce planning, talent strategy, capital structure)
- Can potentially take interim roles in portfolio companies
- Interact with the leadership team to prioritise issues and problem solve
- Build strong trust-based relationships with the portfolio companies' management and executive teams to jointly drive initiatives
- Analyse problems through a variety of methods (e.g., interviews, analyses, research, etc)
Who we are looking for - Undergraduate degree (preferably business focus) or business graduate degree with excellent documented performance from a top school
- Ideally experience in management consulting, or private equity
- Excellent Excel (including financial modelling) and PowerPoint skills
- Excellent problem solving abilities
- Ability to conduct market/business research, synthesise data, and clearly communicate insights
- Quantitative skills and experience performing financial modeling and analysis
- Travel expected to be a considerable amount of the time for the job (historically, it takes 25-50% of the time)
