Firm Risk Management
Firm Risk Management (FRM) enables Morgan Stanley to achieve its business goals by partnering with business units across the Firm to realize efficient risk-adjusted returns, acting as a strategic advisor to the Board and protecting the Firm from exposure to losses as a result of credit, market, liquidity, operational, model and other risks.

Position Description
Morgan Stanley is seeking an Associate to join the Firm's Risk Data and Strategy - Process Improvement team within the Risk Chief Operating Officer (COO) organization. The focus of the team is to provide co-ordination, program management, business/process improvement analysis and progress reporting of large, complex cross-functional data and infrastructure Risk initiatives. This position offers opportunities to gain exposure to all aspects of risk management and across all Risk domains, as well as visibility into other divisions at Morgan Stanley.

Responsibilities
Facilitate and manage cross-Risk projects successfully by ensuring scope, timeliness, and quality control requirements are met and in accordance with project sponsor objectives

Provide business analysis/process improvement support, including designing/documenting process flows, identifying controls (data and process), and identifying efficiency opportunities

Co-ordinate and partner with IT and Risk domain Agile leads to prepare and support cross-Risk status reporting, including KPI metrics, dashboards, and reports to summarize data and infrastructure status

Co-ordinate and prepare presentation materials regarding the Firm Risk data and infrastructure portfolio for various senior management committees and forums

Assemble and guide cross-Risk project working groups

Ensure key risks and issues are identified, documented, mitigated and communicated to the appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

Skills Required
3-5 years' work experience in project management/process improvement activities

Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills

High attention to detail

A bility to manage tight deadlines and multiple projects concurrently, and prioritize workload

Ability to run meetings with multiple stakeholders and business areas

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Capable of communicating clearly and concisely to various levels of audiences and to both business and IT

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Proactive and strong ownership/initiative

Strong collaboration, relationship building and teamwork skills

Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint

Skills Desired
Experience within a financial institution or Big 4 consultant firm

Proficiency with workflow and reporting tooling desirable: e.g. Pega, Sharepoint, Qlikview, Tableau

Experience in Risk Management, Data Management and/or Project Management function desirable

Exposure to Agile / Sprint project management methodology.
