Job Description:

Bank of America-Merrill Lynch is currently seeking a COO Business Executive for the CIO Due Diligence team. Responsible for establishing and leading the go forward strategy in support of Due Diligence business objectives, including alignment and integration of key functions and teams. Represents the team in client/partner meetings and presentations, drives Strategic Business Initiatives, and reports to and provides day-to-day support of the Head of Due Diligence and serve as a liaison to senior leadership across GWIM for critical initiatives and updates. This is a Director position based in lower Manhattan.

Responsibilities Include:
Manages administrative support nationally for the business unit, to include developing strategy, measurement, reporting, and administration.
Consults with senior management in evaluating current methods and developing strategies to implement changes and improvements.
Liaises with legal, risk, compliance, technology and vendor management.
Oversees operational risks
Requires a deep understanding of business unit products, services and processes , and excellent analytical abilities.
Ensures the team is performing due diligence on investment strategies.

Traveling (approximately 10%)


7+ Years of experience in financial services (such as asset management, investment bank, endowment/pension fund, rating agencies, manager due diligence, etc)
Significant knowledge of global capital markets, sound industry knowledge, e.g., clients, competitors, products, economics, regulations, policies, etc.
Proven track-record in relationship building and people leadership; able to work collaboratively with people across functions and organizational lines/levels
Strong, strategic, logical and creative thinker with an ability to translate strategy into pragmatic tactics that drive business
Strong, confident and effective communicator (both oral and written)
Well-developed business judgment and experience
Able to launch, manage and complete complex and large projects, skillfully leading and guiding teams to success and results
Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point
Bachelor's Degree Required
MBA, MS, JD, or other relevant advanced degree preferred
CFA Charterholders or candidates preferred, or willingness to work toward CFA designation
Series 7, 63 and 65 (or Series 7 and 66) required (may gain licenses after start - unlicensed candidates may be considered if willing to obtain licenses after start date).
