Proactiveinvestors have recently launched their New York office and are hiring the best talents to grow the team. We are looking to appoint a mission-focused, sales driven, strategic, and process-minded Business Development/Account/Sales Manager to join the sales team and grow the Proactive business model in the US markets. This is a dynamic position for a driven individual who understands global vision.

The platform serves as a bridge allowing investors to gather market intelligence directly from companies. Companies that use it to communicate directly to their investor community are primarily small to mid-cap companies or companies listed on a stock exchange.

Position Summary

Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation: Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business; identify, research, meet and build relationships with potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network; participate in pricing the solution/service and use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.
  • Client Retention: Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships; work with the Editorial Team to meet customer needs; arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs; renew and upsell client packages.
  • Business Development Planning: Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales; develop new services, products, and distribution channels; identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
  • Sales Analysis: Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurately entered and managed within Salesforce, forecast sales targets; track and record activity on your accounts; represent the company in the best light; understand the company’s goal and purpose to continuously enhance the company’s performance; report cashflows and sales analysis to Proactive’s Directors.

Person Specification

  • Native-level English speaker
  • Demonstrable commercial track of success in business development
  • Ability to report directly to the board of Proactive’s directors
  • Experience working with and pitching to board-level clients from listed companies
  • Strong experience of stock markets and financial background
  • Understanding of news media and investor communities
  • Team player
  • Understanding of a global vision
