Role Description: Financial / Business Management Manager
This position is for a Financial Analyst in Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Technology at Morgan Stanley's New York offices. The position will reside within the Central COO office, but will also work with the PAG areas.

The candidate will be a part of a team responsible for the financial business management oversight for the WMT division. The candidate will help develop and manage a financial analytical function that supports the internal technology clients and their book of work. They will work closely with the PAGs to understand their financials, support reporting and analysis requests, presentations for meetings, and support the COO management in day to day financial inquiries.

The candidate should be flexible, highly adaptable to a constantly changing environment, and excellent team player. The candidate will be asked to juggle multiple ad hoc requests in addition to the BAU aspects of the role.

Responsibilities include:
Responsible in creating and maintaining regular Financial Management reporting and inputs to financial models and analyses for COO Financial Management team
Production of weekly/monthly and ad-hoc resource and financial reports (RTB/CTB, Managed Directs, headcount/spend, Business reporting) providing regular input into analyses
Work with teams to support the annual and monthly forecasting and cost processes
Support rate inquiries and cost analyses, understand monthly actuals vs plan, serve as point in client inquiries and implement changes where required
Support team in monthly actuals analyses ? work with cash management team in understanding impact of accruals, work with portfolio to understand software cap impact, understand resource footprint and any variance to budget
Leverage understanding of financials to create and govern processes that can scale with strong operational efficiencies
Support Practice Area Groups (PAGs) in financial inquiries and needs
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and/or Finance with 5-7 years experience in accounting and/or financial analyses in a nimble but structured organization, preferably Technology
Thorough understanding of Financial principles such as Cash / PnL management, accrual basis accounting, expense management
Experience win budget planning, financial management and workforce management
Strong analytic and problem solving skills
Expertise in Excel and Powerpoint including Pivot Tables, formulas, and data manipulation
Comfort working within a dynamic and fluid environment of prioritization
Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills with ability to create concise and cogent management reporting
Willingness and capability to succeed independently and be productive with minimal oversight
Ability to collaborate with other stakeholders to execute and bring efficiency to financial management
