Business Solution Analysis Lead
Deloitte Transactions and Business Analytics LLP seeks a Business Solution Analysis Lead in New York, NY.
Work You'll Do
Responsible for large scale information technology systems, business processes, and strategic regulatory risk management. Identify and evaluate complex business and technology risks and related opportunities for risk mitigation. Execute advanced services and spearhead staff in delivering basic services. Assist in the selection and tailoring of approaches, methods and tools to support service offering or industry projects. Understand clients' business environment, technical requirements, and basic strategic risk management approaches. Demonstrate a general knowledge of market trends, Deloitte methodologies, and service lines. Actively participate in decision making with engagement management and seek to understand the broader impact of current decisions. Generate innovative ideas and challenge the status quo. Work with clients and the system development teams to design and implement business process changes and strategic decisions. Build and nurture positive working relationships with clients with the intention to exceed client expectations. Facilitate use of technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design and/or implement products and services. Identify opportunities to improve engagement profitability. Participate in and actively support mentoring relationships within practice.


  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
  • One year of experience in data science, risk management, and technology.
  • Experience must include one year of:
    • Developing multi-domain risk quantification methodologies and algorithms for global retail clients using statistics, financial statement analysis, natural language analytics, and data visualization tools including Tableau and Qlik;
    • Utilizing data aggregation and cognitive analytics tools, including Quid, Synthesio, Arachnys, and Primer AI, and use MySQL queries to extract and scope data;
    • Developing and implementing risk ontologies for the collection of key risk signal data;
    • Building KPI/KXI libraries for the development of cognitive risk sensing analytics algorithms;
    • Spearheading project management assignments, including monitoring timelines and tracking progress, analyzing sales revenue, coordinating with vendors, and developing pricing solutions;
    • Applying risk management principles to the interpretation of data and developing recommendations from machine learning-based data outputs;
    • Utilizing advanced Excel functions, including VLookups and advanced analytic tools;
    • Developing consulting services solutions, including solution roadmaps and technical requirements and coordinating with technical business resources to develop consulting solutions;
    • Analyzing external data using cognitive computing and machine learning algorithms in risk areas including brand, regulation, and financial risk to deliver strategic insight reports and interactive dashboards; and
    • Mentoring, onboarding, and training junior team members on practice critical technical tools and engagement delivery.
