Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Finance and Business Management
(F&BM) group provides financial advice to support the CIB’s business
strategy and helps to ensure a sound control environment. Within F&BM, the
four major areas of responsibility are: Business-aligned BMs (Business
Managers), the CIB Controller, Support Staff CFO, and Planning and Analysis.




& Business Management’s goals are to ensure sound control environments and provide
financial advice to support the business strategy. Within F&BM, the
Controllers organization is responsible for ensuring the overall integrity and
validity of the financial statements and controls over the transaction cycle;
performing critical reporting functions for the organization, both financial
and regulatory, as well as ensuring execution and implementation of the overall
financial architecture.

Role Description

The role is with J.P. Morgan’s Treasury
Services (TS) Business Management team. The TS Business Management team
supports the TS line of business within J.P. Morgan's Corporate &
Investment Bank. TS provides cash management and transaction services to the
world’s largest corporations, financial institutions, and public sector
entities. The candidate will be the lead business manager for the executive in
charge of Innovation, Analytics and
Channels. The Innovation,
Analytics and Channels organization was formed to advance TS’s
innovation agenda by partnering with fintechs to add new capabilities,
developing solutions for clients using big data analytics and leveraging
emerging trends in design and flexible technology platforms to improve the
client experience.


The candidate will be responsible for
conducting analyses and driving projects that enhance business performance,
assisting in formulating and articulating business strategy, developing key
insights about fintechs in the marketplace, creating business cases for
possible third party partnerships, preparing senior management presentations,
understanding and managing expenses, and conducting the annual budget process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic
    and financial analyses to help formulate strategy and execute on innovation
  • Analyze
    marketplace and develop business cases for partnerships with fintechs or
    other third party vendors
  • Collaborate with
    Product, Finance and Technology teams on a range of projects to drive
    business objectives
  • Create senior
    management level presentations illustrating strategy and business
  • Partner with
    business executive to analyze and optimize organizational structure

  • 5+ years of
    experience in an analytical role that required articulating complex
    ideas/analyses into clear messaging – e.g., strategy, investment banking,
    consulting, etc
  • Excellent understanding of financial modeling,
    valuation and presentation development
  • Prior experience
    or strong interest in Technology and Innovation related fields
  • Ability to analyze complex information and communicate
    findings succinctly  
  • Inquisitive
    nature with advanced problem solving and critical thinking capabilities
  • Ability to engage in abstract thinking and design
    thinking a positive
  • Ability to
    quickly grasp concepts, learn processes and execute on deliverables in a
    timely manner
  • Excellent time
    management skills, being flexible to handle multiple tasks at the same
    time and prioritize the tasks in the order of importance
  • Ability to work
    independently with the focus on efficiency and quality
  • Strong
    interpersonal skills, the ability to partner and build relationships with
    people across the organization
  • Strong visual
    communication skills in PowerPoint and other tools
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is
    required; SAS, SQL and other analytic tools also valued
