~~Tokio Marine Holdings, Inc., is a multinational insurance holding company and TMDCM is the investment manager for all Tokio Marine’s US dollars investment portfolios.  The Investment team is comprised of investment managers and analysts who report to the Chief Investment Officer. The team oversees the implementation of the portfolio allocation through a combination of external specialist investment managers and direct purchases of securities into the internal portfolio.


TMDCM is looking for a CMBS Credit Analyst to work with the Portfolio Manager in identifying and analyzing trends within the CMBS portfolio. The CMBS Credit Analyst will assist in the underwriting of potential new CMBS investments and ultimately, assume portfolio management responsibilities for that portion of the portfolio.


Job Description
Develop and maintain management reports to assist with the analysis and surveillance of the existing portfolio (yields, returns, exposures)
              

Compare underlying commercial loan collateral performance to initial purchase assumptions.  Identify variances
       

Recommend securities for sale or purchase based on collateral surveillance
Monitor and report on performance of external CMBS managers

Monitor and report on earnings for CMBS related stock investments (Commercial Real Estate Investment Trusts)

Assist with the annual preparation of the CMBS income projections for use in business plan

Analyze CMBS portfolio performance versus custom benchmark.  Prepare monthly attribution of portfolio and benchmark returns

Assist Portfolio Manager with the underwriting of potential new CMBS investments

Assist Portfolio manager with underwriting of direct commercial real estate loans submitted for approval by outside investment managers

Work with accounting personnel to ensure efficient use of both CMBS and direct commercial real estate loans as collateral for borrowings from Federal Home Loan Bank

Experience and Skills Required

              Required experience:  5-7 years of CMBS security related analysis
              Undergraduate degree in business with emphasis on financial/security analysis
              Skills:  Proficient with Excel , Bloomberg, and Trepp
