Content Marketing Manager - NY
Department Overview:

The Content Marketing Manager will be based in New York and be a part of the Fitch Ratings' global Marketing organization. Fitch Ratings' Marketing organization is responsible for planning and executing fully-integrated marketing strategies and creating brand differentiation in support of Fitch Ratings' global businesses. The team works closely with stakeholders to understand their business objectives in order to plan and execute go-to-market programs, while deploying the appropriate marketing mix. The team covers multiple marketing disciplines, including but not limited to, content and product marketing, digital marketing, marketing analytics, event strategy, advertising and branding, as well as marketing operations.

Role Responsibilities

The content marketing manager will support content marketing initiatives through the creation of bespoke and audience-driven content across a variety of channels, including the Fitch Ratings website, social media, email, third-party syndication channels, events, print, video and podcasts. In addition, the role will help develop and coordinate day-to-day content marketing deliverables in support of individual sector and geographic marketing programs, where content is a key cog. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has experience developing new and curating existing content for use across multiple marketing channels, with a particular focus on digital content creation and amplification.

  • Act as a content marketing subject matter expert, consulting with fellow marketers, business partners and advising key stakeholders on how content can complement sales and business development activity.
  • Support the Ratings Marketing organization globally by developing marketing copy, brand messaging and content amplification strategies to drive engagement and visibility around strategic areas of focus for the business
  • Project manage design and creative deliverables from ideation with marketing and business contacts, to translating requirements to designers, and delivering final product.
  • Oversee development and editorial responsibilities for periodic investor journals, whitepapers, and global publications and pitchbooks, including coordinating with stakeholders and designers.
  • Work alongside marketing counterparts and specialists across video, social media and digital media teams to generate and deploy new and innovative avenues for articulating what are in many cases complex concepts, data sets or commentaries.
  • Coordinate with internal Design, Marketing and Events teams to help create new advertising creative, collateral and other content in support of global marketing campaigns
  • Provide general marketing support to other team members on an as needed basis around key initiatives globally


Role Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or a similar field
  • Digital savvy, with proven experience in prior content and research marketing role
  • Minimum of 4 years of content marketing experience within financial services or focused on related audiences, preferably B2B
  • Excellent writing, communication and editorial skills required; able to translate complex concepts/commentary into easily understandable written/spoken words
  • Proven experience with digital marketing, including digital advertising, account-based marketing, content syndication, social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, etc.), etc.
  • Significant experience with content project management including planning, organizing, and executing content-focused initiatives, publications, and multi-platform editorial calendars.
  • Ability to work independently managing a pipeline of projects, while in parallel, working tactically in support of other team members marketing programs.
  • Innovative and proactive in identifying new content opportunities and marketing strategies on behalf of the business
  • Experience with video and podcast development, scripting and storyboarding
  • Experience with website content management and publishing a plus
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines
