Corporate Portfolio Analyst

SUMMARY: Corporate Portfolio Analysts perform a wide range of credit- related support relative to the ongoing management of the corporate lending portfolio. Portfolio Analysts are responsible for collecting, tracking and analyzing documentation in addition to support activities for Portfolio Managers and department managers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.
• Collects tickler and other due diligence items.
• Assists in tracking reporting requirements, covenant documentation, post-closing requirements and other items.
• Provides analytical support for the Corporate Banking Portfolio Management Team.
• Identifies policy exceptions.
• Learns, understands and administers Credit Policy and Procedures.
• Orders and reviews credit bureau reports with guidance from department managers.
• Orders and reviews field audits, inventory appraisals, and other 3rd party reports, as applicable, with guidance from department managers.
• Performs lien, judgment, and background searches (e.g. UCC, Sunbiz, LexisNexis, OFAC, Google, etc.).
• Researches market and industry trends.
• Participates in team sales, credit and administrative meetings.
• Reviews loan documentation at relationship inception and each year with annual review.
• Maintains credit files for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintains electronic back-up of client's key financial records and documentation.
• Communicates and partners with Lending Officers, Underwriters, Portfolio Managers, and Credit Officers.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelors' Degree or equivalent work experience.
• At least two years' experience in the financial services is preferred.
• Formal Credit Training a plus.
• Lending or Loan Servicing experience preferred.
