We Offer
Credit Suisse's Real Estate & Asset Finance (REAF) team within Credit Risk Management (CRM) is seeking an Assistant Vice President to Vice President-level Credit Risk Officer to join the Asset Finance credit risk team. The primary function of this role will be providing credit assessments, approvals, ratings, reporting and risk management of secured credit facilities for asset finance receivable originators and servicers.

  • Conducting and documenting credit analysis for initial, annual and interim reviews of Asset Finance counterparties, transactions and credit facilities
  • Determining and assigning appropriate credit limits and internal risk ratings
  • You will prepare written reports to communicate the results of the analysis conducted
  • Approving transactions within delegated level of credit authority
  • Monitoring and reporting on credit limits, exposures and portfolio characteristics
  • You will determine appropriate credit terms to be included in legal documentation
  • Participating in client due diligence meetings and telephone calls
  • Representing CRM in meetings with internal partners
  • Tracking loan covenants, deterioration of credits, excessive concentrations of risk and asset performance concerns
  • Mentoring new or less experienced team members
  • Assisting with market and other ad hoc analyses

You Offer
  • Relevant university degree
  • You have acquired at least 5-7 years relevant experience in risk management
  • Strong analytical skills including data analysis, research, critical thinking, creativity and problem solving
  • Experience at a major investment or global commercial bank
  • Detailed knowledge of rating agency approaches to analyzing and rating ABS securities
  • Knowledge of ABS structures and markets, in particular the following asset classes: unsecured consumer loans, auto loans, alternative energy, and transportation
