Position Overview

The Desk is an origination and execution team focused on serving sovereign, corporate, and financial institution (including multilateral) clients in the Americas. The Desk is integrated into Deutsche Bank's global platform, working alongside coverage bankers and other product-specific partners across our offices in New York, Europe, Asia, and Brazil. Product partners include Syndicate, Liability Management, Sales and Trading, Rates and FX, Loan Structuring, among others, who help deliver financing, capital raising, and risk management solutions to clients across Investment Grade, covered / executed.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • You will be exposed to all aspects of the bond execution process, including origination, documentation, marketing, and distribution

  • Daily tasks will vary depending on the phase of the current transactions, but will frequently include the creation of presentation/pitching material for potential deals, as well as summaries of economic and market developments, recent primary offerings, and secondary trading performance

  • Other key tasks will include analyzing comparable borrowers and assessing appropriate new issue pricing indication in consultation with Syndicate, producing spreadsheet models, roadshow presentations, and due diligence reports

  • The role will involve interaction with a number of other groups throughout the Bank (client coverage, debt syndicate, liability management, and legal department), as well as outside partners (jointly mandated banks, external legal advisors, and rating agencies)

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Highly-motivated and intellectually curious

  • Strong quantitative and writing skills

  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

  • Initiative and ability to work on their own, while focusing on self-growth and development
