The Operations Division is the engine room that powers Goldman Sachs, and Operations Technology is driving their industrialization through automation, digitization and orchestration
As an Operations Risk engineer, you will be responsible for being part of a team that develops scalable and robust technology solutions which help risk managers drive an efficient risk and control framework in Operations Division. Technology that enables them to monitor, assess, report and prevent various types of risks related to people, processes and events in Operations.

As a member of our team you will work closely with business and technical colleagues locally in London, Warsaw, New York and Bengaluru, to solve challenging technical problems, and deliver cutting-edge technical solutions to meet evolving business demands. Effective problem-solving, consensus building, and a highly-developed analytical skill set are essential to your success.

We run an Agile (Scrum) team with iterative feedback loops with our clients and continual improvement of the team's processes. We are looking for talented business analyst who have an insatiable appetite for learning, passionate about building commercial/innovative solutions and developing highly effective teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
• Building long term, productive relationships, and engage effectively with all key internal clients and partners. Drive consensus amongst multiple clients
• Deliver detailed project business and technology data / business analysis.
• Contribute to analysis and decision-making of strategic functional architecture objectives of specific projects
• Manage complex projects from inception to implementation focus on software quality, stakeholder communication and product delivery
• Self starter and able to work in a high paced environment.
• Identify new business opportunities, prepare business plans, structure and execute on externalizing data analytics

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience working in financial services and/or technology company - Bachelor's degree required
• Understanding and experience of project management from initiation to implementation (risk / issue management, project)
• Contribute to analysis and decision-making of strategic functional architecture objectives of specific projects
• Strong knowledge and appreciation of technology change. Software development experiences a plus but not essential
• Proficient with spreadsheets and presentation tools and ability and willingness to learn new tools and procedures
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Strong working knowledge of ETL and RDBMS (Sybase / DB2) skills including SQL

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Agile Scrum project management methodology (Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Backlog Management and many more)
• Knowledge of visualisation tools (Tableau, ZoomData, Kibana)
• Knowledge of financial markets would be an advantage
• Working knowledge of Big Data and NoSQL Solutions (Elastic Search, Hadoop) includes MapReduce, Hive, Spark
