What we do:

The Risk, Operations, and Control (ROC) team in the Statistics Function is looking for a Data Wrangler to support the Statistics’ core mission to improve data quality of the 100 data collections. Our work transforms raw data into information that inspires Bank actions – directly support the Bank’s mission to promote financial stability and support the implementation of domestic and international supervisory policies and monetary policy.

Reporting to the Manager of the Change Integration, you will:
  • Provide data wrangling services to make data (structured and unstructured), via transformations, normalization, and data mapping, consumable for a variety of downstream purposes such as applications, visualizations, and analytics.
  • Design and model analytical methods based on the statistical methods required by Statistics staff. Validate, test, and deploy data models and analytical products/tools.
  • Produce high-quality documentation and models, as a result of the discovery and evaluation process and the best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance standards and incorporate best practices in the areas of data wrangling, data visualization, and data integration.
  • Assist in establishing a repeatable business process for Statistics analysts to conduct exploratory analysis and define a lifecycle to mature analytical practices for standardization, digitalization and improvement.
  • Help train data wrangling capabilities and the review of apprentices’ data wrangling work products.
  • Provide thought leadership, best practices, and standards required to deliver solutions.
  • Research, troubleshoot, diagnose, and recommend solutions to complex business and technical problems.
  • Prepare and communicate through effective presentations and written communications.


Qualifications:
What we are looking for:
  • 1 years of experience in Data Wrangling and equivalent Data Transformation using tools like Alteryx
  • Knowledge of data architecture and data management best practices
  • Experience developing data models and analytical products for financial services firms
  • Experience in or knowledge to learn other lightweight solutions such as Python and R
  • Experience in business analysis and working with diverse teams and competing interests for requirements gathering and analyzing technical trade-offs
  • Experience in business process improvement and re-engineering concepts using techniques such as Design Thinking, Lean, Six Sigma, etc. a plus
  • Excellent in preparing presentation materials
  • Explain complicated or technical information in a simple way to non-technical audiences
  • Collaborative working style, willingness to flex roles and responsibilities when needed to support larger team goals and outcomes
