The Portfolio Analytics Group (PAG) within BlackRock Solutions crafts and delivers Aladdin's® analytical capabilities to help the firm and our clients understand and manage their investments and risk. The Client Business Analytics team within PAG partners with client relationship management teams to provide analytical insights with the goal of accelerating commercial outcomes and developing deeper partnerships with our institutional and retail clients.

The team seeks a Data & Analytics Associate with demonstrated project management skills, who will partner with client teams to advance Aladdin's analytical capabilities and apply them in new and innovative ways. This position involves working in a team environment to oversee and execute on projects and custom analyses to help our clients. Team members leverage a broad understanding of finance, clients, and technology to partner with teams across BlackRock to solve business problems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Leverage a deep knowledge of institutional clients and BlackRock products to develop client-focused solutions in Aladdin
  • Collaborate with the client relationship management teams and client strategists to develop analytical insights and solutions to enable sales and deepen relationships with clients
  • Leverage trending technology and modern data science techniques to draw insights from data and analytics
  • Develop new sales enablement capabilities and light applications to deliver high impact analytic solutions
  • Independently manage large cross functional projects across multiple internal teams and regions
  • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline and enhance business processes using Aladdin analytics, data and technology


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 4+ years of experience in an analytical role in a technology or financial services setting
  • Creativity in solving complex problems, with a constant desire to learn new skills and technologies
  • Demonstrated applied technical skills in SQL, Python, R, Linux, with Data Science experience preferred
  • Proven ability to deliver on short and long-term projects while gaining buy-in from partner teams and managing stakeholder expectations
  • Project management experience and ability to navigate a matrix organization
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex concepts simply and clearly
  • Preferred Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Statistics, Operations Research, or other quantitative discipline
