Location: New York, NY, USAWe are looking for a talented and motivated DevOps Engineer. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a strong focus on designing systems to build, package, deploy and monitor software. We are searching for an individual who is still passionate about learning and is dedicated to delivering a quality product he or she can be proud of calling their own.
During deployments you will coordinate with the build and deploy teams in San Francisco and Shenzhen China to ensure a smooth rollout of our applications. You will also be responsible for coordinating the post launch monitoring of applications to ensure stability and in case of emergency the roll back process. The candidate may also manage contractors as needed as well as potentially directly manage other team members.
Between deployments, you'll help streamline our deployment process and drive automation as well as proactively work to improve the monitoring of the health of our applications in our production environments. And you will work with the infrastructure and data center teams to ensure delivery and maintenance of our hardware.
This is a challenging role with a great deal of responsibility. But you will not be micromanaged. This is a growth role for the right individual. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, equivalent experience, or related field
- 3 years plus of experience in build and release engineering, configuration management or software development
- Strong understanding of version control, build and release concepts and SDLC
- Strong ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
- Experience with scripting languages and Powershell
- Experience with automation tools (Jenkins, Puppet/Chef, etc) and version control tools, Perforce/Git are going to be strong plus
- Experience with both Windows and Linux environments
- Experience with SQL Server
- Willing to work in a fast pace and multitasking environment
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Cloud experience and understanding a definite plus (AWS/Azure)
