Digital Analytics Solutions Engineer - VP

The Morgan Stanley Digital Marketing technology team is responsible for developing and supporting the firm?s public site ( and firm-wide intranet web portals. We are seeking an Analytics Solutions Engineer who will be responsible for contributing to multiple web analytics tool implementation projects.


This is a mid-level position for a highly analytical, self-motivated individual who will be working closely with Morgan Stanley's Digital Strategy group on the following:
- Create business and technical requirements documents including Solution Design Reference (SDR)
- Manage tag containers, variables and implement content tagging
- Coordinate Dynamic Tag Management (DTM) changes and deployments across digital properties
- Perform QA testing
- Assist & maintain DMP taxonomy
- Manage ad tags, third-party tags for digital campaigns
- Recommend appropriate Web site measurement tactics tied to the client?s business goals.
- Act as a translator between the business and technical staff
- Perform multiple client Web analytics tool implementation projects at once
- Ensure analytics are consistently implemented across digital properties
- Develop and document implementation best practices


Skills Required:

- Subject matter expert in Adobe Analytics (formerly Omniture SiteCatalyst)
- 3+ years of experience implementing Adobe Analytics
- 3+ years of experience with Dynamic Tag Management (DTM) and Satellite (from Search Discovery)
- Document requirements from both business and technical clients
- Document Solution Design Reference (SDR)
- Ability to self-manage a project from start to finish on-time, as well as provide oversight of offshore staff
- Highly organized and able to work on multiple projects/clients simultaneously
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with an emphasis on client-facing situations
- Solid understanding of digital marketing and advertising concepts and terms
- Proficient in use of standard office software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio)
- Develop custom reports via Adobe Analytics and Report Builder
- Results driven and self-motivated
- Self-starter
- Bachelor?s Degree in relevant field

Skills Desired:

- Proficiency in JavaScript and HTML is strongly preferred
- Vendor certification in Analytics and Tag Management tools
- Knowledge of interactive marketing initiatives (Paid Search, SEO, Affiliate, Comparison Shopping Engines, Email)
- Experience implementing A/B testing tools like Adobe Target, Monetate, SiteSpect, Google Website Optimizer
- Experience in analyzing data sources and building aggregations to enable BI solutions
- Experience with report building using Tableau and providing access to self-service
- Experience using SQL with Sybase, DB2, or Greenplum
- Experience with Data Management Platforms (DMP) such as Adobe Audience Manager
- Experience in ad serving technologies such as DoubleClick for Advetisers (DFA) and Mediamind; Able to QA the firing of Floodlight tags
