The Role: This role is for a valuable member of the S&P Ratings Finance team supporting global compensation and headcount. The candidate will participate in monthly, quarterly and annual financial processes and also help to complete special projects, as required. The role will also assist with research and analysis of results and forecasts to increase financial transparency and assist management with strategic decisions.

The Impact: This role is key to ensuring that we deliver timely and accurate data and analyses through efficient processes and procedures to our business partners equipping them with the information they need to make informed decisions.

The Team / The Business: The position resides within the segment finance team at S&P Ratings in New York. As a member of the segment team, you will work closely with team members in the New York, London and Singapore offices.

  • Provide timely, relevant and accurate reporting & analysis of results against historical, budgeted, forecasted and strategic planning results to facilitate decision-making toward the achievement of the budget and strategic plan.
  • Perform research and analysis of data to assist management with strategic decisions
  • Assist in the preparation of critical monthly/quarterly and annual reporting (including PowerPoint decks and charts) to be used by the CFO for various meetings with senior management, Corporate and external auditors
  • Assists in the company's annual plan and forecast process for global compensation and headcount

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Accounting - CPA preferred
  • 3 years plus of relevant work experience preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal skills and organizational skills
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access
  • Proficiency/knowledge in PowerPoint and the IBM Financial reporting system TM1 or other database visualization tools a plus
