Enabling Goldman Sachs' research analysts to model investment ideas efficiently and accurately, whilst ensuring that clients can access these ideas when, where and how they choose. GIR Technologists leverage the latest in cloud, mobile and big data technologies to help define and deliver our digital investment research strategy.
As a CRM Engineer you will be part of the team that is developing the core application infrastructure that underpins our Client Relationship Management tooling in Global Investment Research. You will be responsible for development of internal applications for research analysts to capture information about the engagement with and content consumption of the firm's clients. The workflow efficiency of our research analysts is critically important which means there is opportunity to work with the latest technologies spanning both the desktop and mobile applications. You will be engaged in all stages of software development from requirements gathering through to development and deployment. We are looking for talented engineers who have an insatiable appetite for learning, are passionate about building commercial solutions, and developing highly effective teams. Building a best in class CRM architecture and applications optimized for our business' needs means GIR engineers have access to the latest front and back-end technologies to maximize the effectiveness and impact of our development. Working closely with the GIR business allows great insights into the nature of the industry and growth opportunities to work with vendors, industry bodies and all internal users of the CRM suite of applications. Capture of CRM data and its processing have become critical to how GIR generates revenues.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

• Develop end-to-end software solutions including data modelling, application and service development leveraging multiple technologies
• Collaborate with engineering and business counterparts
• Engage with other engineering teams and external vendors in providing integration solutions
• Proactively identify efficiency and design improvements to existing systems and processes

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• 3+ years of an OO programming language (e.g. C#, Java), and familiarity with web technologies
• Adaptability to challenges including the ability to learn new programming languages as well as to review and manage code we are replacing
• Team-oriented with strong communication and collaborative skills

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with service frameworks, such as Spring Boot and messaging protocols
• Agile methodologies
• Experience of relational and non-relational database technologies
