Global Funding Controller External Reporting Manager

The Finance Division reports to the Chief Financial Officer and consists of some 3,000 employees worldwide. Finance protects the Morgan Stanley franchise by serving as guardian of the Firm's books and records, and by contributing to firm wide risk management and risk reduction. This division maintains relationships with Morgan Stanley's various industry and government regulators, and also serves as the conduit of financial information to the outside investment community. Finance plays a critical role as advisor to Morgan Stanley's various businesses and its senior management team.

The Financial Control Group (FCG) is responsible for overseeing the accounting, financial and regulatory reporting for the Firm. FCG prepares external financial reports for public filings and regulator. For internal reporting, FCG along with Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA), summarizes, plans and forecasts the organization's financial position, including income statement, balance sheet and analyses of future revenues, expenses and earnings. FCG is comprised of Business Unit Controllers, Infrastructure Controllers, Accounting, Regulatory and Reporting, and Valuation Review.

As a member of the Global Funding Controllers (GFC) Regulatory Reporting team, this individual will be helping to prepare monthly and quarterly external reporting disclosures. The candidate will have regular interaction with various business unit controllers and other groups within the Firm.

- Production of monthly disclosure reporting, inclusive of performing various analysis on balances, interest and yield
- Assist in the production of quarterly disclosures for 10Q/K and Fed reporting
- Coordinate and facilitate special projects and ad hoc requests
- Collaboration across a number of FCG groups including Global Product Controllers, Accounting Policy, Regulatory Reporting, and SEC Reporting *LI-ND1


- B.A./B.S. Accounting/Finance degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (strong Excel, Power point, and database skills a plus).
