GS Acquisition Strategies is looking to hire a talented Analyst/Associate to work with the team. GS Acquisitions Strategies is GSAM's platform dedicated to sponsoring Special Purpose Acquisition Companies (SPACs) across various industries and in partnership with world-class business executives. A SPAC is a publicly listed blind pool of capital raised in anticipation of completing a yet to be identified acquisition. The team is currently in the process of identifying a suitable candidate for our recently sponsored industrials focused SPAC.

The Analyst/Associate will be an integral part of GS Acquisition Strategies Investment team, with a focus on identifying companies that could be appropriate acquisitions targets. The Analyst/Associate will be primarily responsible for analyzing companies starting in the industrial space, but ultimately in a number of industries. The ideal candidate will show substantial initiative and will be expected to contribute immediately as the team is looking to expand its investment capability.

• Screen for and identify potential investment opportunities
• Analyze potential investments via offering memorandum review, industry research, financial modeling, financial statement analysis, interaction with and assessment of management, use of consultants, and speaking with customers/suppliers, etc.
• Prepare and present deal screening memos on prospective investments and investment committee memos used for formal investment approval process
• Perform ongoing due diligence and monitoring of portfolio companies and communicating updates to the investment team (orally and in writing)


• Minimum Bachelor's degree (U.S. or equivalent)
• At least 2-4 years of experience in private/public equity or a related discipline (investment banking, private equity/credit, research, management consulting etc.)
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Interest in investing in different industries
• Well-rounded team player with energy and enthusiasm
• Good mathematical grounding
• Accounting knowledge and financial modeling aptitude (required)
