Identity Management Engineer

The Identity Management system at Morgan Stanley provides challenges and a wide range of areas for skill development while performing the following functions:

- Provisioning of Accounts for human identities in automated flows
- Provisioning of Accounts for system IDs and devices in automated flows
- Management of lifecycle events such as account changes, transfers, enablement and disablement
- Management of Accounts Terminations
- Provides connectivity for account management with a variety of infrastructure repositories such as: Windows (2010,2012), SecureID, Firmwide Directories, REST-full interfaces, MIT Kerberos and others
- Password management for human accounts and system ID accounts
- Provides tools for self-service to individuals as well as to external groups of administrators
- Provides reporting tools oriented for entitlement reviews and periodic data hygiene The development work performed in this position involves receiving and clarifying requirements, planning and executing implementation work as well as planning formal testing and validation. The work involves interaction with multiple groups (infrastructure engineering groups, client groups). Good communication skills and teamwork skills are required.


- Experience with aspects of identity management: administration, credential management, directory services, account provisioning, etc.
- Experience with identity management platforms, such as ForgeRock OpenIDM, Oracle Identity Manager, Sun Identity Manager, etc.
- Experience with one or more high-level language OO such as Java, C++, etc. - Experience with one or more scripting languages such as Python, Perl, etc.
- Experience as a power user of one or more operating system platforms: Linux, Windows, etc.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with a globally distributed team
