In Internal Audit, we ensure that Goldman Sachs maintains effective controls by assessing the reliability of financial reports, monitoring the firm's compliance with laws and regulations, and advising management on developing smart control solutions. RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS ROLE
Internal Audit - Reporting & Analysis Team - Analyst - New York

The NY Reporting and Analysis team is responsible for preparing the GS Group Audit Committee (AC) materials as well as for providing key metrics for the Global Audit Director and Internal Audit (IA) Executive and IA Global leadership teams to facilitate audit plan and findings management. Additionally, the NY Reporting and Analysis team leads three key annual departmental processes: (1) risk assessment (2) plan development and (3) skills assessment

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Production of key deliverables including weekly metrics, Audit Committee reporting and ad-hoc requests for Internal Audit data, related to the NY Reporting function
  • Process automation partner with NY Reporting and Analysis Team
  • Involvement in strategic initiatives driven by the NY Reporting and Analysis Team
Business knowledge / Qualifications
  • Education or experience in the field of accounting, financial or management reporting are preferable
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong technical skills preferred including Excel, PowerPoint, querying and visualization skills
  • Highly organized, attention to detail and excellent follow through skills
  • Ability to multitask efficiently and work under tight time constraints
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including timely escalation of blockers/setbacks
  • Energetic, self-directed and self-motivated
  • Able to build and sustain long-term relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to challenge current thinking and suggest ideas of how to improve results
