Department Profile
The Finance Division reports to the Chief Financial Officer and consists of some 3,000 employees worldwide. Finance protects the Morgan Stanley franchise by serving as guardian of the Firms books and records, and by contributing to Firm wide risk management and risk reduction. This division maintains relationships with Morgan Stanleys various industry and government regulators, and also serves as the conduit of financial information to the outside investment community. Finance plays a critical role as advisor to Morgan Stanleys various businesses and its senior management team.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the IM Finance Executive Director prepare reporting and documents required for ad hoc and special projects
- Liaise and conduct reviews with key stakeholders regarding risk agenda/deliverables
- Perform the monitoring function of IM Finance employee and contingent worker entitlements to ensure appropriate access is maintained
- Manage one staff

Qualifications:

- Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
- 8 - 10 years of experience in Finance
- Ability to manage in ambiguous situations and execute tasks independently and working in a group-orientated environment, accurately, and timely
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Experience with project management and problem solving and running complex finance processes
- Process redesign and process improvement experience
- Advanced Excel/Word/Powerpoint skills
- Knowledge of regulatory environment and key compliance rules affecting financial services and investment management companies
- Attention to detail and proactive communications with teams across domestic and international locations

Skills Desired:
- Experience in internal or external audit, documentation of risk and testing of controls, and Investment Management knowledge a plus.
