In this position, you will be an integral member of the private debt team, and take part in all aspects of private debt investments. The Private Debt team at Partners Group provides mezzanine, unitranche and senior debt financing, primarily to back private equity-sponsored leveraged buyouts. Partners Group is a market leader in private debt, and invested over USD 3.5bn in credits globally in 2016. This position will be based in New York.

Work directly with deal captains and senior investment professionals to:

  • Perform due diligence including, but not limited to, financial and operational analysis, transaction structuring, and industry research on prospective private debt investments
  • Perform various tasks related to monitoring current investments, market research, fund marketing efforts, and new deal origination
  • Prepare internal investment committee memos


What we expect

  • Bachelor’s or MBA degree from a top college or university
  • 1-5 years relevant work experience in a corporate or investment banking Analyst or Associate program, at a private equity fund or private debt fund, or at a BDC
  • Excellent analytical, technical, interpersonal, and client facing skills
  • Strong desire to learn and succeed
  • Strong financial modeling, investment writing, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work on a lean deal team in a fast-paced environment
