Life Insurance Premium Lender PB
Incumbent provides independent and objective analysis and monitoring of credit quality for a life insurance premium loan portfolio. Incumbent will manage a book of business and will provide independent and objective analysis and monitoring of credit quality for more complex loan portfolios. Responsibilities include: underwriting of loans, review and other functions in connection with the Wealth Management Life Insurance Premium Finance Lending business all in accordance with credit policies and procedures, maintaining service standards and continuously striving to meet client objectives to grow a portfolio of high quality loans. Will adhere to established policies and procedures to minimize losses and will complete high quality underwriting documents on a timely basis, determine credit risk and mitigate and assign credit risk ratings. Performs analysis where appropriate to proactively evaluate the future performance of a borrower or prospect and collateral for the loan. Works in partnership with Wealth Management Private Bankers and the Life Insurance Premium Finance Manager to structure new loan opportunities. Engages with clients to determine credit needs and to evaluate proposed collateral and other transaction risks, structures proposed lending solution, prepares and presents term sheets, assists with document preparation and negotiations, and assists with loan approval and closing processes. Qualifications
The qualified candidate will have a BS/BA degree in business or equivalent experience with 6+ years of relevant lending experience and at least 2 years of life insurance premium finance experience, or lending-related experience such as credit recovery or credit policy. An MBA is a plus. Completion of a disciplined bank credit training program (or equivalent work experience), along with specialized knowledge of complex products/businesses as required by the segment of business assignment is required. Must be knowledgeable about and adhere to all regulations impacting the business. Must have excellent communication skills, as well as knowledge of/experience in the use of relevant computer software. Occasional travel is required.
