Manager of Development Operations
Our client, a prestigious university is seeking a Manager of Development Operations in their Manhattan location.
- In partnership with the Associate Dean for Development, manages operational needs of the School of the Arts development function, including interface with the Office of Alumni and Development office of Gift Systems, Business Services and Office of Gift Planning as well as the University's office of Facilities and central Finance. T
- Tracks all development-related activity tasks and deadlines; calendars current and upcoming workflow.
- Oversees information on policy matters, tracks various requests and action items for the Associate Dean for Development, prepares reports, and responds to information requests.
- Writes and prepares correspondence for key donors; Initiates ongoing communication with the School of the Arts' Directors of Academic Administration regarding awards; works closely with the Office of Planning and Administration/Finance, Admissions and Financial Aid, and the Dean of Academic Administration regarding the allocation and monitoring of gifts; collaborates with School of the Arts Office of Communications and Public Affairs and the University's Office of Alumni and Development.
- Leads the written reporting process to donors of named gifts; writes donor acknowledgements on behalf of the Dean, the Executive Director of Miller Theatre, Program Directors, Department Chairs and the Associate Dean for Development.
- Serves as key liaison with the University's office of Donor Relations and Stewardship and consultants as needed in the creation and execution of stewardship and other donor communications.
- Partners with the Associate Dean for Development and the Director of Budgets in monitoring the unit's fundraising projections; tracks fundraising teams' progress to goals throughout the fiscal year; critically analyzes and prepares data for reporting. Reconciles the unit's expenses and coordinate budget activities with the Office of Alumni and Development office of Finance
- Coordinates events, with responsibility for list generation, invitation coordination, event production, participant outreach and follow up, briefings, and prospect research.
- In partnership with the Associate Dean, responsible for producing key presentations for faculty and advisory committee meetings.
- Leads administrative responsibilities for the office. Oversees and audits the database list management for key solicitations and prospect events as needed; prepares travel and Business Reports for reimbursement requests by the Associate Dean of Development; manage the appointment calendar of the Associate Dean of Development
- Periodically provides administrative support to the Dean of the School of the Arts, including travel and other logistical assistance.
- Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested.
