MS Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology
Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology is the global technology department responsible for the design, development, delivery and support of the technical solutions behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) business. The department is comprised of 10 organizations: Sales, Banking & Corporate-Client Technology, Investment Products & Markets Technology, Client Reporting, Core Processing, Private and International Wealth Management Technology, Technology Integration Office, Enterprise Infrastructure & Production Management, Capital Markets Application & Data Services, Deployment Planning & Release Management, and the Chief Operating Office. Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology works with large scale databases such as DB2 and SQL Server, proprietary and non-proprietary messaging software, a broad variety of vendor products, numerous financial exchanges and regulatory entities, and programming languages ranging from .Net and Java to Cobol and VB.Net.

Position Description
The candidate will be responsible for delivery of critical money movement applications. He/she should have the ability to guide and mentor the team; maintain effective relationships with business owners and application development teams in other localities; understand the business case; work collaboratively with IT colleagues; manage all phases of the software development life-cycle; and manage on-going projects within tight timeframes. The candidate will be interacting with a culturally and technically diverse community which includes mainframe and web developers, engineering teams, user communities, and executive management.

This position calls for a senior hands-on technical lead with expertise in java development and database management systems. This person will provide technical expertise in developing banking wires functionality for all banking channels which include online and mobile . The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing system components in order to achieve maximum performance for real-time interactive processing. The ideal candidate will have skills in object oriented design and development and have extensive experience in multi-tier multi-threaded architectures. Many of the systems components will interface with multiple backend processes and data resources, so the candidate needs to have experience in designing and implementing soap or restful web services, writing optimized queries, creating servicing portal and tuning the service performance. Knowledge and experience in Banking or financial applications will be a plus.


Qualifications Skills Required
7+ years hands on experience of core java development; MS SQL; SOAP/Restful Web service development; HTML5;Javascript; Excellent analytical ability; Strong collaboration and communication skills with business clients and technology partners. Skills Desired: Technical skills in Java, DB2, DB design, Informatica, MQ, Rules Engine and BPM.
