Operations Project Manager

IHS Markit Engineering & Product Design (E&PD) business line is seeking a Project Manager to lead multiple key projects and initiatives that are critical to achieving revenue and profitability growth of the business line. This Englewood, Colorado based position will report to the Executive Director of Operations of E&PD business line. Responsibilities will include leading projects and initiatives that drive operational process improvements and efficiencies. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent college graduate with 2-3 years of project management experience to join a growing multi-national cooperation with potential for expansion of responsibilities and growth opportunities.

Education & Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 2-3 years of work experience as a Project/Program Manager managing multiple projects in a fast-paced agile environment.
  • A proven track record of producing measurable business outcomes from projects led by the candidate
  • Experience leading projects that require continuous project tracking and status reporting that include executive level project sponsors
Job Responsibilities:
  • Managing multiple long-term and short-term programs that drive revenue and profitability targets of E&PD business line.
  • Providing reporting and statuses of various projects to business leaders and stakeholders. And, escalating and mitigating project delays timely to complete projects on time.
  • Performing detailed analysis of process flows that currently exist within various functions of the business line to recommend improvements and efficiencies. And, leading all approved efficiency improvement projects.
  • Providing reporting and data analysis expertise and assistance to the leader of Royalty Reporting team within the E&PD business line.

    Required Skills:

  • Advanced level, work related experience using MS Excel & Power Point
  • Solid understanding of agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in right proportions to fit a project and business environment
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Strong data analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands
  • Strong collaboration and partnership skills to indirectly influence project teams that are cross-functional and multi-national teams
  • Problem-solving with the ability to focus on sprint/task details while maintaining the "big picture" strategic view
  • Experience using business analytics reporting tool is a plus
  • Experience managing projects that involve global project teams is a plus
  • Previous people management experience is a plus
